How to Take a Mensa IQ Test in Thailand

How can you sit for a Mensa test in Thailand? This is a question we’re often asked.

Whether you’re curious about your IQ score or considering applying to join the global Mensa community, the information below should point you in the right direction.

Mensa Thailand Initiative here is run by Mensa members in Thailand, and we’re currently working towards becoming a fully recognised national group under Mensa International. Because of that, there isn’t an official Mensa test centre in Thailand just yet.

However, there are some options for taking a test to become Mensa member. You can:

  • take a Mensa test at an official test centre run by nearby national Mensa groups, such as those in Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, or Indonesia. Please contact them directly through their websites for more details.
  • or take a standardised, supervised IQ test offered by a certified test provider in Thailand. Mensa accepts several recognised tests, for example:
    • Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale
    • Cattell Culture Fair Intelligence Test (Scale III)
    • Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS)
    • Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC)

These tests aim to measure fluid intelligence in multiple cognitive domains rather than learned knowledge.
A full list of tests accepted by Mensa can be found on the Mensa International website.

In Thailand, these tests are usually offered by certain hospitals or private clinics. For Mensa to accept the results, the test has to be administered by a qualified psychologist and come with a full official report in English. Once you have your result, you’ll need to submit them directly to Mensa International.
